Terms and Conditions

Students accepting and/or taking courses through NYCTD agree to the following terms and conditions:

• NYCTD, Inc. is in no way responsible for the acceptance of professional development in-service / graduate credits to any particular school district, whether in the State of New York, or any other state, city or local municipality.
• By agreeing to these terms, the student understands that they are solely responsible for obtaining prior approval from their school district, department of education and/or board of education, federal, state, city or local municipality, etc. in order to have any credits obtained from any of NYCTD, Inc. classes be acceptable for their needs.
• NYCTD, Inc. is a provider of professional development graduate and in-service courses that are not part of a degree status program.
• NYCTD’s services and/or courses are provided on an “as available” basis and no warranty, express or implied is made with respect to NYCTD, Inc. or its services and NYCTD, Inc. makes no guarante regarding the acceptability of any of its services and/or courses offered as credit for higher education and/or certification by any state school district, department of education and/or board of education, federal, state, city or local municipality.
• Cancellations: All cancellations must be requested prior to a course start date. Before the start date, a refund can be obtained minus a service charge of $10.00 for an in-service/CTLE course and $20.00 for a professional development graduate course. There will be no refunds once a class begins.
• By agreeing to these terms and conditions, the student agrees that any disputes arising out of or relating to NYCTD, Inc. or the classes and/or credits offered by NYCTD, Inc., or the breach thereof, shall be governed by New York law and shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association and the judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitrators may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. In the event of a dispute, the Student agrees to pay all court costs, NYCTD’s reasonable legal fees, and expenses, and legal interest on any award or judgment in favor of NYCTD, Inc.
