The 21st century classroom is different than the classrooms of yester-year. The students we teach, the lessons we use and the materials available to us are unique to the modern day classroom. This course is designed to address aspects of classroom management specific to today’s classrooms. An exploration of both basic classroom management techniques for the novice and new and inventive strategies for the experienced classroom teacher will be provided. The skills and approaches to classroom management presented in this course are fresh, innovative, empowering, hassle-free and above all, practical.

- how to adapt and establish lessons based on Common Core Standards while incorporating instructional technologies using web-based applications for your students.

- how to develop lessons that enrich student instruction both direct and indirect. Using these instructional technologies, will maintain student interests and assist in increasing student achievement.
and Be Able To
- understand and interpret the phases of incorporating instructional technologies in prior lessons or original lessons created in this course.
- (This will allow teachers enrolled in this course to include all aspects of the CCSS in their lessons and comply with New York State and Administrative directives. )
- develop a proficiency in understanding how Common Core Standards fall in to the instructional technology lesson design as well as the application of the new standards.
